Incident at East End Park on February 15, 2019

On February 15, 2019 at about 4:00pm in East End Park at 6400 Kingwood Drive an adult female victim was walking back to the park entry/exit when she was grabbed from behind by a male suspect wearing a dark hoodie and black skeleton face bandana-style mask that covered most of his face. The suspect grabbed the woman from behind, choked her and tried to drag her into the woods. She stated she was punched in the face and all over her body, and that the suspect bit her on the inner thigh. She said the suspect assaulted her by inappropriately touching her under her shorts. The suspect did not say anything during the incident. The victim says she kicked the suspect in the groin and was able to run away from him and escape to a friend's home nearby. The victim-sustained scratches, abrasions, a cut on her lip, along with swelling near one of her eyes. The incident occurred on the south loop of the walking trails, near a short wall with a bench and picnic table nearby. The suspect is described only as a 'burly' male, 20-35 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 225 to 250 pounds. In addition to the bandana, the male was wearing jeans. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the Special Victims Division at 713-308-1140 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
